Tsiknias

A great trekking route for Tinos is the ascent to Tsiknias and the crossing of its ridge (the tallest mountain on the island with an altitude of 727m). Tsiknias is located on the east side of the island.

The climb starts from a path that lies just outside Myrsine village. Going up the trail one arrives to the Prophet Elijah chapel, wherefrom the view is unique (accessible also by car).

With a 360ο view one can see simultaneously Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, Delos, Renia, Syros, Andros and Gyaros.

Walking along the steep ridge of Tsiknias one can reach up to Livada beach.

The crossing of the ridge takes about 3 hours.
